MX Wholesale is an established Leicester-based wholesaler and distributor supplying independent retailers, convenience stores, businesses and organisations across the UK.
We are growing our sales team and currently recruiting for two field-based sales roles across Leicestershire and surrounding areas.
Both roles offer the opportunity to build long-term customer relationships, develop your own customer portfolio and increase your earnings through strong sales performance.
We already have the customers, products, warehouse and delivery infrastructure. We’re looking for people with the communication skills and salesmanship to turn those opportunities into sales.
Current Sales Vacancies
1. Field Sales Representative – Delivered Wholesale
Best suited to: Someone who enjoys regular customer visits, building relationships and growing repeat orders across independent retail, convenience and local business customers.
What You’ll Do
- Visit existing and prospective customers across Leicestershire and surrounding areas.
- Build strong relationships with shop owners, managers and decision-makers.
- Grow regular delivered wholesale orders.Introduce promotions, new products and additional categories.
- Reactivate dormant and previously trading customers.Identify what is selling locally and feed opportunities back to our purchasing team.
- Work towards agreed daily and monthly sales targets.
Typical Customers
Independent convenience stores, newsagents, mini-markets, independent supermarkets, retailers and other local businesses.
Typical Order Profile
Regular delivered wholesale orders, ranging from cases through to larger mixed wholesale orders.
Working Pattern
Predominantly field-based, combined with remote/home working for customer follow-ups and administration, with occasional visits to our Leicester wholesale depot.

2. Field Sales Executive – Pallet & High-Volume Sales
Best suited to: A commercially confident salesperson who enjoys building relationships, negotiating larger deals and developing customers into regular pallet and multi-pallet buyers.
What You’ll Do
- Engage with our large existing customer database and build strong relationships.
- Visit retail, convenience and B2B customers across Leicestershire and surrounding areas.
- Generate pallet, multi-pallet and high-volume wholesale orders.Identify customers capable of taking larger and more frequent quantities.
- Negotiate pricing and order volumes within agreed commercial parameters.
- Follow up quotations and sales opportunities consistently.
- Develop single-pallet customers into regular multi-pallet accounts.
- Sell high-volume lines across: Soft Drinks, Grocery Staples, Household Products and other FMCG categories.
- Reactivate dormant and previously trading customers.
- Feed customer demand back to our purchasing team so we can carry stock that suits the market.
Typical Customers
Independent retailers, convenience stores, mini-markets, supermarkets, wholesalers, foodservice businesses, online retailers and other B2B customers.
Typical Order Profile
Pallet, multi-pallet and other high-volume wholesale orders.
Sales Expectation
The minimum sales expectation for this role is approximately 4 pallets per working day.
Working Pattern
The role is predominantly field-based across Leicestershire and surrounding areas, supported by home working for customer calls, quotations and follow-ups, with occasional visits to our Leicester wholesale depot.

You focus on selling and building customer relationships. We support you with stock, pricing, purchasing, warehousing and delivery.
Who We’re Looking For

Previous experience in Field Sales, B2B Sales, FMCG, Wholesale, Convenience Retail, Cash & Carry, Food & Drink, Account Management or Business Development would be beneficial.
However, direct wholesale experience is not essential. We are also interested in candidates from other backgrounds who can demonstrate strong communication skills, commercial awareness and genuine sales ability.
Languages
The ability to speak Hindi, Gujarati and/or Punjabi would be beneficial due to the profile of many independent retailers and businesses within the territory, although this is not essential.
Pay, Benefits & Progression
Earnings: £23,000–£50,000 per year depending on sales performance.

Initial Engagement: Roles typically begin on a self-employed, performance-based basis, with the opportunity to progress to permanent employment once consistent sales performance is demonstrated.
A Typical Day – Pallet & High-Volume Sales
9:30am – Review your customer list, outstanding quotations, planned visits and priorities for the day.
10:00am – Head out in your company car and begin visiting customers across your territory.
10:30am–12:30pm – Meet 2–3 existing, dormant or prospective customers. Discuss current deals, understand what is selling for them, identify pallet opportunities and strengthen the relationship.
12:30pm – Lunch and review any customer messages, enquiries or quotations requiring follow-up.
1:00pm – Catch up with the warehouse team on the day’s customer deliveries and incoming supplier stock. Does a customer need a friendly update? What stock has arrived and is ready to move? Use this information to create new sales opportunities.
1:30pm – Discuss pricing and negotiate a pallet or multi-pallet order with a customer.
2:00pm–4:30pm – Continue customer visits, typically seeing a further 3–4 existing, dormant or prospective customers. Follow up opportunities, introduce new lines and work towards securing additional pallet orders.
4:30pm – Send confirmed orders through for processing and delivery and follow up customers who have received quotations or shown interest in products.
5:00pm – Update your customer pipeline, record follow-ups and plan the following day’s visits.
5:30pm – Catch up with the Company Director with a brief update on the day’s activity, sales won, key opportunities, customer feedback and anything requiring support.
